To get a Crimson Desert wyvern mount, find a Wyvern Egg around Wyvern’s Cradle in southwest Delesyia, hatch it in a nest, and raise the Baby Wyvern to Growth Level 3 by feeding it meat across multiple in-game days. Call the baby down and use Grow to transform it, then access the adult through Special Mounts.
There are two useful egg routes in the area. The hidden cave requires Focused Force Palm; the egg on the raised section behind the nearby stone tower avoids that particular barrier. Hatching gives you a pet first, not an immediately rideable adult. The growth meter is the condition to watch before looking for the mount in your collection.
Understand the Three Stages Before Starting
The egg, the Baby Wyvern, and the adult mount are different stages. Carrying an egg does not register a flying mount. Hatching registers the baby as a pet, and feeding then advances a separate growth process toward the transformation.
| Stage | Where to check it | Next required action |
|---|---|---|
| Wyvern Egg | Carried item or inventory | Place it correctly in a nest and wait for Hatch |
| Baby Wyvern | Pets section | Feed meat and increase Level of Growth |
| Growth Level 3 baby | Summoned pet interaction | Bring it down and select Grow |
| Adult wyvern | Special Mounts | Summon, mount, and fly |
This route is different from temporarily riding a wild creature. You are raising a registered pet into your own reusable mount. If an older description calls every wyvern ride temporary or says the baby cannot yet grow, use the growth system shown in the current pet menu rather than searching for an unrelated wild-mount trick.
If you want to keep a baby as well as an adult, collect and hatch the second egg too. Grow one and leave the other in baby form. You do not need two eggs to obtain a mount; the second is useful for preserving the separate pet.
Find Wyvern’s Cradle in Southwest Delesyia
Locate Wyvern’s Cradle north of Three Brothers’ Cliff and west of the Dewhaven label. The ruined crater, stone pillars, stairs, and nearby tower provide the physical references for the two egg routes. Establish those landmarks before searching individual rocks or nests.

The main cave approach is in the pillared section above the crater’s lowest area. Do not go straight to the water and assume that the egg must lie at the deepest point. The route takes you to a blocked wall reached from the stairs.
Enemies occupy the area. Clearing the immediate approach can make carrying and placing the egg easier, but the collection goal is the egg and its nest rather than an invented requirement to defeat every enemy in the region. Keep the relevant entry action and egg location separate from general combat around the ruins.
Before choosing a route, check whether Focused Force Palm is already unlocked. If it is, the cave offers a clear path to an egg beside a chest. If not, the tower route avoids spending time trying an entry action your character cannot perform yet.
Egg Route One: The Hidden Cave
From the crater, climb the stairs into the pillared cave section. Follow the left wall until you find the mineral blockage with a golden orb. Use Focused Force Palm on that mechanism to open the hidden route.
- Reach the raised, pillared section of the ruins.
- Follow its left wall to the blocked opening.
- Identify the glowing orb in the mechanism.
- Use Focused Force Palm to clear the barrier.
- Enter the opened cave and look to the right side of the treasure room.
- Pick up the Wyvern Egg beside the chest area.

If Children of the Woods is active and Shai is present near the nest area, speak to Shai if that proximity is preventing the ability’s use. This is a specific interaction check for that situation; repeatedly attacking the barrier with a different move will not replace Focused Force Palm.
The chest and egg are separate objects. Opening the chest alone does not collect the egg. Check the floor beside it and carry or store the egg before leaving the chamber. This is an easy stage to miss if you arrive expecting the egg to be the chest reward.
Focused Force Palm is the relevant ability requirement for this cave. Do not turn an older guide’s suggested chapter into a universal minimum if your character already has the skill. The alternate tower egg is also available as a different route around this particular blocked entrance.
Egg Route Two: The Raised Section Behind the Tower
Look for the large stone-built tower outside the main ruined section of Wyvern’s Cradle. Go around to its back and find the small raised section protruding from the structure. Climb onto it and collect the egg sitting in the open.
This route does not require opening the Focused Force Palm wall. Use it when you want your first egg before that ability, or when you want a second baby while reserving one for the mount transformation.
Store the egg in inventory if that makes the journey back to the nests more manageable. The tower is farther from the central nest area than the cave reward, so carrying it by hand is not the only practical way to move it.
Return to a nest inside Wyvern’s Cradle and use the same hatching process as for the cave egg. The origin of the egg does not change the goal: correct placement, visible activation, and the Hatch interaction after waiting.
Avoid counting the second egg as a second mount immediately. Each egg becomes its own baby, and the baby you want to ride must still complete the growth stage. Keeping track of which pet you are feeding is useful once both are registered.
Place the Egg in the Center of a Nest
Carry the egg to one of the nearby nests and place it in the central twig-lined section. Placement matters more than simply dropping it somewhere near the nest marker. If it sits on the edge without activating, pick it up and adjust the position.

A correctly placed egg begins glowing and moving or pulsing. Watch for that response before starting the wait. Standing beside an inactive egg for several minutes does not fix a placement that never triggered the process.
Wait a few real-world minutes, then watch for stronger movement and the Hatch prompt. The visible prompt is the reliable completion signal. You must interact to hatch the egg; reaching the expected waiting time does not automatically add the baby while you stand elsewhere.
After hatching, the Baby Wyvern registers as a pet. Open the Pets section to confirm the result and summon it. If you collected two eggs, repeat the placement and hatching steps for the second rather than assuming one nest activation registers both.
The useful failure checks are therefore simple: did the egg activate, did the Hatch prompt appear, and did the baby register? Each answer identifies the stage to correct without sending you back to search for another egg unnecessarily.
Feed Meat and Watch Level of Growth
Open the baby’s information in the Pets menu and find Level of Growth. Your target is Level 3. This is the progression that matters for the adult transformation; ordinary affection or a cosmetic accessory is not a substitute for reaching that level.
Summon the Baby Wyvern, stand where it can approach, and drop meat in front of it. Wait for it to descend and eat. A brief glow accompanies a successful feeding, and the growth display lets you confirm that the action registered.
Marbled Meat is a practical option, and other meat can also advance growth. Use the food you have available and inspect the meter rather than assuming that a particular premium ingredient is mandatory. The important loop is successful feeding followed by actual growth progress.
Daily progress is limited. If extra meat stops moving the bar after successful feeds, advance to the next in-game day and try again. Do not interpret the daily limit as proof that the baby is bugged or keep dropping an entire inventory of meat in the same session.
Resting at a campfire or inn can help move time forward. Repeat the feeding process over subsequent days until the meter reaches Level 3. Reports commonly describe a few in-game days, but your own meter is the condition that determines readiness rather than a guaranteed count of food pieces or a strict real-world deadline.
Use Grow and Register the Adult Mount
Once the baby reaches Growth Level 3, summon it and use the look/interact command to call it down. Approach while it is on the ground and choose Grow. The transformation sequence changes it into the full-sized wyvern.

After using Grow, check the adult in Special Mounts.
Afterward, check Special Mounts rather than only the Pets tab. Summon the adult and mount it to begin using it for flight. If you still see only the baby’s pet controls, confirm that you actually selected Grow after reaching the level instead of stopping at a full growth meter.
The adult can travel over terrain, take off, fly, and use its own aerial attack. Its reusable availability makes it a practical exploration option. Still, choose a suitable summoning context; “reusable mount” does not mean every enclosed space or every point on the map supports the same summon.
The mount’s Wind Shot is a different attack from Blackstar’s abilities. Do not expect growing a wyvern to duplicate the dragon’s entire combat role. Pick it for the movement and attacks it actually provides rather than treating all flying mounts as identical upgrades.
Add Equipment After the Transformation
A Wyvern Saddle is sold through the Delesyia saddlery route and can improve the adult’s defense. You can ride without it, so the saddle is an equipment improvement rather than the missing step that makes Grow appear.
If you keep a separate baby, the pet-shop route in Pororin Village offers the Small Wyvern Aviator Hat. That cosmetic belongs to the pet context. It does not increase the baby’s growth level merely because it looks like flying equipment.
For a finished collection, confirm the outcome you wanted: one adult in Special Mounts, and optionally a separate baby in Pets. If something is missing, return to the relevant stage—egg collection, nest activation, hatching, daily growth, or Grow—rather than restarting the entire route. Each stage has a visible result that lets you continue from where the process actually stopped.
